About.Motion 21 is an American Sign Language learning application using computer vision and machine learning to provide the user with live feedback on what gesture or character they are holding up on-screen. With an interactive interface, lessons containing letters and other topics, and the ability to save and continue progress, the application aims to combine education with modern technology to create a robust way to learn a new language. The team behind Motion 21 also aims to spread ASL across a wider audience. The team hopes that applying modern technology to education will bring interest to learn important skills for not just the hearing-impaired community but other communities as well.
